The Union of Agricultural Cooperatives Pelion and Northern Sporades includes all the cooperatives covering more than 7.500 members. Since its founding in 1952 it has shown a significant progress in promoting its products in the home market and abroad. The contribution to the development of the region is tremendous with an ever growing export activity has placed the olive tree the main exporting product in over 10 countries worldwide.

THE AREA
Pilion is a mountain at the southeastern part of Thessaly in central Greece, forming a hook-like peninsula between the clear blue sea of the Pagasitikos Gulf leading to the emerald shores of the Sporades Islands.
The winds of the sea and the warmth of the Gulf with the so praised soil is blessed by products such as olives, apples, pears, and all the other treasures that nature has so generously donated.
